By law, you can get a free credit report each year from the three credit reporting agencies. These agencies include Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. Due to financial hardship resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, you can get a free credit report each week through December 2023. is the only website authorized by the federal government to issue free, annual credit reports from the three CRAs.

You may request your reports:

The primary credit scoring models are FICO® and VantageScore®, and both are equally accurate. Most lenders are looking at your FICO score when you apply for a any type of loan. There’s a lot to learn about credit scores and credit reports and having more than one credit score can get confusing.

Credit reports show your personal financial information, including:

  • Lawsuit records

In most cases, your credit report will not include your credit score.
